Jul 25, 2015 10:03 AM in response to annedevby rccharles,We should get the exact model of your mac.
Snow Leopard will not run on a g5. Hence, no boot.
This site provides more information. Best for older machines. Note, serial number is sent in the clear.
"A serial number is a unique, identifying number or group of numbers and letters assigned to an individual piece of hardware or software. It's used for various things depending on the product / brand but what is your Mac's serial number for and more importantly... what is it hiding and what can it do for you ?"

This site provides more information, but lacks security too.

Jul 25, 2015 10:11 AM in response to rccharlesby Drew Reece,★HelpfulThe first line of the crash lists PowerMac7,3.
It's a 2004 G5.
As explained you need to use an OS below 10.6. I suggest you look for an older OS install disk (between 10.3.4 and 10.6) or find a hard disk with a lower Mac OS installed. If you don't own OS X for that Mac you will need to install a free OS like Ubuntu. Older versions support PowerPC, Ubuntu Mate PPC gets some good reviews from old Mac users.

Jul 25, 2015 10:15 AM in response to Drew Reeceby Drew Reece,P.S. Renaming a hard disk should not cause this - please explain what steps you took to rename the disk, did you do it in Finder or some other way?
I can't see how you can repair this unless you have a suitable bootable Mac OS disk, single user mode may not be able to undo what changed.

Your eyes are a lot better than mine. I "knew" I should have read the picture more carefully.
