On iOS, along with foreign language keyboards, there are foreign language disctionaries. Why arent' there the same dictionaries in OS X ??? (I have not figured out thow to install them if there are some)
In contunuing my research I saw the OS X app "dictionary" but that does not include the language I am interested in .. Greek.
So I am looking how to add greek dictionary support which exists on iOS but not on OS X

It sounds like you are asking for spell check. Dictionary app has nothing to do with that, it is for reference dictionaries.
