I have an iMac Late 2012 3.2GHz Intel Core i5 32GB of ram and graphic card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 675MX 1024MBIs it possible to connect an external graphic card to this machine (via Thunderbolt) ?
I need to process 4K video on Davinci Resolve and the performance is not great when there are more than a few nodes.

Nope, if you want a more powerful GPU you need to get a Mac Pro.
Yes there are eGPU solutions, but they are not official and more a DIY project. I have a GTX 970 running in OSX 10.10 and Windows 8.1 on my MBPr (mid 2014).
