is pages included in ipad air 2

Is Pages included with iPad Air 2? If so how do I find it and use it?

IS there a word processing app that others recommend? Free?

Pages should be pre-installed if it's a 32 gig or larger model : Free Apple apps for your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch with iOS 8 - Apple Support

If it's not pre-installed, and you are using the account that originally activated the iPad (and haven't moved countries since doing so), then it should show as free to download in the App Store app - if it doesn't then try logging out (tap on your id at the bottom of the Featured tab in the App Store app) and back in and see if it then shows as free.

TThanks for your assistance. A CSR from Apple also cleared up an issue with a defunct e-mail account attached to it at the iTunes store. After both issues were taken care of, downloading them was a breeze. Still looking for iPhoto though. Doesn't seem to be in the store.

iPhoto was removed from the store from the store a while ago, some of it's functions were incorporated into the built-in Photos app (and if you had a copy of it, it's not compatible with iOS 8)
