The laptop then said that the cd doesn't have enough storage. But i checked the pictures are in total 3,5 GB and I have a cd that has 4,7 GB storage.

With the blank DVD (you must be using a DVD since the capacity of a CD is only about 800 MB) what does disk utility say about the optical drive?
