Q: Connection DR says everything A-OK, but email still not working

I get email from three different accounts, but for some reason, my Mac has started to either be slow in delivering/receiving email and not deliver or send at all even tho the connection DR says everything is connected. I've changed nothing in my settings. My domain host has sent test emails to me and I've received them on my ihpne and on the web mail, but nothing appears in my mac email.

 

All accounts are enable in my prefs and I've even tried turning all off and on back one at a time. Nothing downloads.

    Whoops, I meant to say that I HAVE three different email accounts and all seem to be working on my devices except for my Power Mac's email.

    Thanks, but I searched that before my first post. Most of what I read related to setting up email and I didn't find any new information. My Mac's email just suddenly decided to stop accepting emails even tho my other devices are working as normal. Judging by my settings, it "should" be active.

    From the Mail menu bar, select

              Window â–¹ Connection Doctor

    Click the Show Detail button. A drawer opens. Click Check Again and post the text that appears.

    Anonymize any private information before posting. That means names, email addresses, contents of messages, and anything else that you don't want to make public.

    Does this help, or should I try and post the entire detail from the drawer.

     

    Two emails did make it through to my Mac's email yesterday. One was the notification of your response and the other from a recruiter on Linkedin. The test email from my Domain provider is still missing in cyberspace.

    I did a have some emails get through yesterday, but nothing today, even though there were scores of new emails on my domain server. The connections shows success, regardless. Weird.

    The server pop.secureserver.net rejected your first attempt to log in.

    Select the Advanced tab in the settings for the account and check the box marked

              Automatically detect and maintain account settings

    if it's not already checked. Select Password from the Authentication menu. Close the preferences window and save the change.
