yeah, I think so, but you won't like it. try zapping pram-hold down command, Option, P and R while rebooting your Mac. The trick is to hold them down within 10 seconds of rebooting. Keep 'em held down for 3 "bongs" and let 'em go, let the computer boot normally. If that doesn't fix it, try resetting the SMC.
Unplug the computer at the back (the power cord), wait about 45 seconds plug it in, and press power to restart computer. If that didn't work, see if Apple has a recall program on its website. It could be that you have bad RAM modules, which is easily fixable. If's it none of these things, I'd go for seeing if there's a repair program for your iMac from Apple. These things do happen once in a blue moon. If there's no special repair program for your iMac then your best best would be to make an appointment at your local Apple repair place and bring it in. I hope you have AppleCare already bought.....
I don't know any more than what you have posted here-no model number, no year, no specs, don't know how much RAM on board, no OS, nada
info for that can be found under the Apple, then go to "About this mac"....more info would be helpful here
oh, and for the record.....this is the Mac Pro forum, not the iMac forum. Both might be desktop Macs, but they are not the same machine, If you want better help, please post in the correct forum next time.....Yeah, like you'll read this and do it...... anyways, I've done what I could
