Latest UK update on Apple car play. I took delivery of a new and unregistered 2015 model Suzuki Vitara on 3/2/2016, aware that the release on a new facelift model was imminent ( I got a great deal).
Anxious to use Car Play with my iPhone 5, I set about finding out how to make it work. It is standard equipment on the new turbo boost model. Suzuki Customer Service had limited knowledge and my dealer, initially, provided little assistance until I enquired if a software update may be available? As I write this in September 2016, mY dealer's first attempt to update with a USB stick failed and crashed at 78%. Three days later, I returned, when they successfully updated my software with a replacement USB from Suzuki. Following a 10 minute session when I demonstrated Apple Car Play to my dealer, I drove off to play with my new 'toy'. It was certainly worth the effort. Love having my text messages read out to me while I drive and replying using voice recognition plus many other features. Just Months from now, I'm certain this system will,be the norm in every new car. Perhaps my experience will help you? Dave
