That old Garageband Audio chestnut......with a twist

Ok - so know someone is going to shout at me for my stupidity - have at it, thoroughly deserved 😕. Was recording yesterday (Garageband 10.0.3 OS X 10.10.3) and saved files to memory stick as I went (editing was to be done on my machine Garageband 10.1 OS X 10.10.4) . Audio recorded fine - lag on one track but over 20 rehearsal files recorded. All seemed well, but when I came to edit, Garageband could not locate the audio files. Nightmare. Tried the 'show package details' trick but NO JOY. Any thoughts, life saving manoeuvres would be extremely welcome! I have my machine and the one I recorded on now in my possession
