Will it hurt my iPhone 6 to plug the charging cord into a 220v outlet?

I'm from the US, traveling in India. There are no Apple retail stores here, so I need to find out whether I can plug my iPhone 6 power cord directly into a 220v outlet (not using a 220v/110v transformer) without hurting the phone.

Yes, you can. The iPhone charger accepts 100 to 240 volts.

If you are using the Apple supplied charger, you will simply need a plug adapter for the local AC power system.
