Receipt from the Mac App Store

WHen you make a purchase from the App Store are you supposed to receive an itemized receipt from Apple that specifies the charges? I ask because I purchased a $9.99 item and my account was charged $10.89. I presume some tax is involved here, but a receipt itemizing this is a requirement. Seeing as how these are computer generated transactions, shouldn't the receipt be generated simultaneously with the charge? That's not happening, and I'd kind of like to know why, or if it's a problem with my system.

The receipt comes by email to the address listed in your account details usually within 24 to 48 hours.

They look like this;

Mac mini, OS X Yosemite 10.10.3, Apple Watch, 38 mm silver AL, Watch OS 1.0.1, iPad Air & iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 8.3

TThanks. Is there any particular reason for this delay? Would have thought it could be executed virtually simultaneously with the transaction. That's certainly the performance I see from other online vendor. I guess the App Store is a sort of online vendor with its own front end.

Only Apple knows why it takes as long as it takes and it has always taken this long in my experience.

I have noticed that the system also has a tendency to gather up multiple separate purchases that I have made fairly close together and combine them into one receipt.
