This is likely a naive question, but we're considering subscribing to Cox Gigablast (1Gbps). If we do, will our Apple Time Capsule deliver that same speed to our devices, or will Time Capsule slow down the transmission speeds?

On whether the Time Capsule is set up in Bridge Mode......where you might expect to get about 900+ Mbps via Ethernet.....
or
Whether the Time Capsule is set up as a router......in which case the WAN port will only handle speeds up to about 400-450 Mbps.
Bridge means that I don't use the cox modem? Router means I use the Cox modem and tie into it with my Apple modem?
We need the make and model number of your Cox "modem:" to know what type of device that you have. The type of modem that you have will determine whether the Time Capsule is setup in Router Mode or in Bridge Mode.
You will need to use the Cox "modem" no matter what......we just need to figure out what exact type of modem that you have.
My plan is to buy a brand new Time Capsule as I also want the back-up capabilities for our AirBooks.
