unable to update software

Hi , my name is Deon,

i had bought a brand new iMac for my designer and trusted that he will set up every thing when it came in, now he has been fired and i cannot seem to find the Administrator user on the mac, it seems to be deleted. i am now trying to update software and download, but i dont know the user name and password.

any help.
