Can I activate warranty iPad before seal unboxing?

Hi everyone,

I have questions as title because I tried a couple of serial active open.

Serial just test yourself: F5LNQ001FLMM (you can replace the 1 by the number 2,3,4 ... A, B, C ... Z to check and test active like me) like this one:

Step 1: Enter the serial

Step 2: Apple reports should indicate the date of purchase (requires Apple ID login)

Step 3: Select date < than today

Step 4: Return to check the serial last, Apple show the device's warranty is active

So I want to ask is whether the device would be activated before opening the box factory? or it can be system fault Apple?
