iPad Air not charging correctly

Hey all, so recently my device hasn't been charging properly. I plug it in, it charges for a couple of seconds, then goes to not charging, then stops charging and says that the accessory may not be supported. I am using the official lightning cable and adapter. If you move the connector about a bit, you can get it to charge, which is what I did last night only to find that when i woke up it had only charged to 46% from 29%. Since then, the device has decided that it has 48% power, not 46% even though it hasn't been plugged in. Any ideas on how to fix this? 😐
