Q: Firmware Security Update version 1.8 for Mac mini (late 2012)

Firmware Security Update version 1.8 for the Mac mini (late 2012) disables the applications TelldusCenter and tdtool to connect to the Telldus Service daemon for the USB device Tellstick. Is Apple Support aware of this new USB problem introduced by the aforementioned Firmware Update and is a next Firmware Update planned that will cure the problem?

Mac mini, OS X Mavericks (10.9.5), Mac Mini (Late 2012)

Have you contacted Telldus? Likely Telldus will have to update their software.

Thanks for the comment. Yes, I already contacted Telldus. However the problem seems to be rather a site-effect of the Firmware update introduced by Apple Inc. in order to address several other USB related problems.
