AirPlay selection recently missing from Remote App

I have used Remote App to access my iTunes library and play over Apple TV or AirPort Express (to my house sound system). Recently (weeks)the AirPlay selection buttons in the app stopped working. I reloaded the App and now AirPlay option is missing entirely. I've used this actively for years -- has worked great.
