Using Left and Right Facing Pages

I'm trying to format an Apple Pages document for CreateSpace so it can be printed as a paperback and need to use the left and right facing pages function, but the help only talks about this for Apple Pages 09. There's nothing for the latest version of Pages.

Please tell me, is there's some way of handling the concept of double sided pages being slightly different as the margins need to be set to alternating values?

No release of Pages v5 has facing pages functionality. Certainly exists in Pages '09 v4.3 — but not added to Pages v5.

Apple did not take out functionality from Pages v5, it was a complete rewrite not based on Pages '09 v4.3. That having been said, Pages '09 v4.3 has about 100+ features not found in Pages v5.

Pages v5 was the downgrade. You can get Pages '09 in the Apple iWork '09 DVD on Amazon. Follow that with the Apple iWork 9.3 updater. That will get you to the last revisions of the iWork '09 applications.

Export your Pages v5 work as Pages '09, so that these documents can be opened in the older Pages '09. As long as Pages v5 is installed, it will be the default application that opens Pages documents with a double-click.
