Early 2011 13" model with 10.10.3. The screen has started to zoom in and out with no input from me. It does it at various intervals with just about any programme. Help appreciated.

Press the key combination option-command-8 to disable Zoom. If you're using an Apple wireless mouse, open the Mouse pane in System Preferences and uncheck the box marked Smart zoom.

I have tried the disable zoom option. It's not done it since. I am using a Tecknet bluetooth mouse. It doesn't seem to show up when I go to mouse preferences. I am beginning to think that my problems started from using this. It does work well though. Oops, just done it again. Should I try another mouse?
Did you install any vendor software for the mouse?
I don't remember doing so. I think I just connected and away I went.
Please turn off the mouse or remove the batteries. Does the unwanted zooming stop?
I have turned it off. It has not done it since. There can be fairly long gaps between "attacks". I'll give it a bit of time.
I have used it for an hour last night and an equal amount of time this morning and (fingers and toes crossed) it has not gone all psychedelic on me yet so maybe the problem was the mouse. I've ordered a USB mouse any way just in case. Hopefully that is the end of it. I was beginning to think I had a virus.

I recently had the same issue, however the solution wasn't the same.
My issue was that while cleaning, I turned on my Magic Mouse that I never use and had some papers stacked on top of it.
Here it connected to the Macbook without my knowledge and was constantly sending gestures.
Turned off Bluetooth and that problem was gone.
