how to find a serial number of apple air using a serial number of the software installed

We have lost our mac air and we are trying to get the serial number. I never saved the box and I never registered the computer, but I have the boxes of the software I purchased. How can I get the serial number using this?

If you haven't saved the box, haven't registered it and associated it with your AppleID,

and you don't have your sales receipt, you are pretty much out of luck.

The only thing purchased software will give you is serial numbers for the software (if it is even

given).
