Jul 27, 2015 12:29 PM in response to Steve Martin2by AJ397,were the purchase items that you are trying to sync bought/purchased with that Apple ID? If so try deauthorizing the computer and then reauthorizing it. Has a little dialog box that says trust this computer come up on your iPad, if so have you hit trust? You may need to redo the restore from backup again. This article may also be useful: If iTunes repeatedly prompts you to authorize your computer - Apple Support

Jul 27, 2015 10:13 PM in response to AJ397by Steve Martin2,I'm sorry but I don't understand. I do have apps and music that were purchased with an earlier ID.
I upgraded my iPad and dod a backup from the old and a restore to the new. Everything transferred but the apps and music.
I read your answer and everything else I could but I can't figure it it out. This is the first problem I've had in years.
When you say "try deauthorizing the computer and then reauthorizing it". I don't see how to do that. Is that with the old id? When you go to the dialogue box it says, "Items purchased with this Apple ID will no longer play on this computer". Don't understand that. I want the apps to transfer to my new iPad. This is a major hassle.
Thank you for your time.
