Can my iphone 6 be repaired or replaced from any Apple store worldwide? iPhone checked in South Africa but they told me that I can only have it repaired for free or replaced in any APPLE STORE.

I mean I had it checked in South Africa and they told me they cannot replace it or repair it there as ONLY in APPLE stores I can do so. Unfortunately, there are only iStores there plus the network/s. Can it be changed or replaced anywhere else?
