Taking forever to enable!! How can this be fixed?

I recently changed my apple ID password. Now my iMessage account won't enable... The spinning wheel never stops spinning. How can I fix this?

Hi,

In Messages on the Mac have you Signed Out ?

If so try deleting the com.apple.ids.service.com.apple.madrid.plist file.

In the Finder use the Go Menu whilst holding down the ALT key.

Select the Library that appears in the Menu list.

Navigate to Preferences.

Find the file and drag it to the Trash.

Restart the Messages app.

Add the Apple ID and password.

(Accept the pop up about what the iPhone is using.)
