alac not importing?

I have been recently importing some ALAC files which were previously converted from FLAC files. For the first 10 or so albums that I tried to import to iTunes, it worked perfectly fine and the ALAC files played and imported perfectly. However, just today I tried to import yet another album, and to my surprise it wouldn't import. When I double clicked on the files iTunes opened, but it wouldn't play the files. This is weird as I haven't changed my settings and am using the same converter that worked many times before. Any help?
