How do you delete a song from the hard drive and have it in the cloud in this new version?

MacBook Pro (15-inch Mid 2009), OS X Yosemite (10.10.4)

Hello romanfromedmonton,

Before you make any changes to your iTunes Library, I would suggest backing it up:

Back up your iTunes library by copying it to an external drive - Apple Support

The resource below will explain how to delete a song from iTunes Match. You would uncheck the "Also delete this song from iCloud" setting if you only want to remove it from your computer.

Delete songs and music videos

  1. On a computer with iTunes Match turned on, open iTunes.
    Make sure that you have the latest version.
  2. Click the Music icon in the upper-left hand corner of iTunes.

  3. Click My Music.
  4. Right-click the item you want to delete, then choose Delete.
  5. Remove the checkmark to "Also delete this song from iCloud" if you want to keep this song in iCloud.
  6. Click Delete Song.
