Nothing I read about seems to work and I am stuck. Please help me. Every option that was given to others does not work for my mac.
MacBook Pro (13-inch Late 2011), OS X Yosemite (10.10.4)
Launch the Terminal application from Applications > Utilities and then enter the command
killall iPhoto -9
That will terminate iPhoto immediately, without giving it time to close its files.
You should repair the iPhoto library after quitting this drastically.
I tried typing this in with spaces, without spaces every combination and it either says "command not found" or "No matching processes belonging to you were found". Thanks for trying to help my issue.
Then hold down the power button for 5 seconds to force a shutdown of your Mac.
Iphoto will not close, force quit does not work, command>alt>esc> does not work. PLEASE HELP ME?????
