Upgrading Safari

Hi, I have Safari 6.2.7 and would like to upgrade. Do I need to download Yosemite to do so? I have 10.5.8 now. Thanks!

The maximum Safari version for 10.5.8 is 5.0.6.

The maximum Safari version for 10.8.5 is 6.2.7.

Updating Safari beyond those versions requires upgrading the computer’s OS; in the case of 10.8.5, this requires installing Yosemite unless Mavericks is available to you. Alternatively, you can switch to a product such as Firefox instead of upgrading the OS.
