iTunes not installed correctly?

Hi,


I've had itunes on my laptop for a few months now and it had been working fine. However, recently it came up with a message stating that it hadn't been installed correctly... I have been keeping all updates up to date and don't want to uninstall and re-install in fear of losing all of my playlists and data. I was just wondering if there would be a way to fix this issue without losing all of my work.

Back your library up and proceed as instructed. You won’t need to restore the backup straight afterwards unless something goes wrong.

Uninstalling / reinstalling iTunes shouldn't affect your library; however, that's no reason not to create a backup of it first. See turingtest2's user tips on:
