My daughter put her passcode in wrong 6 times and locked the iPad mini. I don't have access to the computer that I have iTunes on that I usually sync to. What are my options to restore the iPad?

i have hooked it up to a computer with itunes (not a computer I have used before) and it says it can't connect to the iPad until I enter the passcode on the iPad. Any other work around? I've tried wiping from find my iPhone but it says pending until the iPad is online. It is in wifi zone that it has used before.
You need to put the device into recovery mode as described.

I Have also tried to put into recover mode with it attached to a computer with iTunes but I never get the iTunes logo. It goes from the apple logo back to the home screen that says it is disabled.
Sometimes it can take a number of tries before it works. Have you made several attempts using Recovery Mode?
Yes, I've tried it at least a dozen times.
Try DFU mode. Read this carefully before you begin. You can google DFU mode for lost of other explanations on other tech sites. This is different than Recovery Mode. It might work for you.
