un-register iPad before selling?

I plan to sell or give away my iPad (1st Gen). Someone told me that before I do that I have to un-register my iPad from iTunes and iCloud and other places. And to remove Find my iPad from my settings. Can you tell what do I need to do before I give my old iPad away? If I have to un-register it, how do I do that?? Any other things? Thank you.
