Apple Mac Book Pro 2009 - no chime or boot device

Can anyone help me with issue with my mac book pro laptop

On Sunday, I went to use it and when booting there is no Apple Chime and it states that there is no bootable drive

Hard drive is approx 4 months old, it is a SSD - I have rang supplier and confirmed that SSD is working fine, tested in another laptop/computer fine

I have done the latest firmware update on the SSD.

I can not get the MBP to boot a OSX disk nor will it boot the hard disk

I am suspecting a motherboard failure

Is there anything I can do to possibly get this working?
