unable to pair iPhone 5 or 6 with uconnect Dodge Ram 1500

I purchased my Dodge Ram 1500 Longhorn in December and was able to pair my iPhone 5 with no problems. Out of the blue the phone quit pairing around the time I upgraded the phone to 8.4. After spending 2 hours with Verizon support they suggested I wipe the phone and do a restore. I didn't want to risk losing my contacts etc so I decided to buy the iPhone 6 and start fresh. I bought it tonite and the darn phone still doesn't pair with my vehicle. I know its not the truck because I am able to pair my wifes iPhone 6 with the truck. What I am doing wrong?
