Store visit

Collected replacement iphone from Leeds store on Monday and assistant seemed in a great hurry and could not wait to get rid of me-walking off as I was trying to ask questions about restoring the replacement phone

Only found out the ios on the replacement was an old version as when I tried to restore from cloud and it would not restore as my the phone they were replacing had the latest ios version

Spend ages ringing friends for advice and eventually found on apple site that I had to set the replacement up as new phone,install latest ios.then erase everything.so I could then back up from icloud !!!!

In a case like that you should insist on talking to the store manager, though it may be prudent to wait a moment and ask another assistant to introduce him to you.

Please understand that Apple does not read these forums. We are all end users like you, volunteering to help others with tech issues. seventy one's sound advice to contact the store manager is your only way to get something accomplished on a non-technical issues like this.

Thanks for your comments everyone

Despite what Allan commented Apple do read this Forum as I received a phone call and apology from Apple today

Fortunately my comment about the ios was specific to myself so well done Apple

That's great; but I believe the phone call might have been the result of the communication in the store rather than an Apple employee reading the forum as that would be a very rare event.
