ipod touch wont turn on

-Hi , I have an ipod touch 5 . I had it for about 3 years now . for the past 3 weeks It wont charge , connect to iTunes or turn on completely . It will just turn on and just show the apple logo for a couple minutes &' then turn off . I tried different chargers &' that still wont work . Also my home button doesn't work either &' I don't have warranty on it . The last time it was on , I had it on airplane mode .. is that the reason it wont turn on or something ? please help 😟

See what you missed here:

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

- Try another cable

- Try on another computer

- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
