Can I use my Samsung Stratosphere with itunes?

My iPhone 5S took a swim with me and is dead to the world. My wife had an old Samsung Stratosphere that I am using until I can upgrade. When I launch iTunes on my Dell Latitude and hook up my phone, it doesn't show up in iTunes. Is this a case of Samsung and Apple not playing nice together in the sandbox or am I missing a plug in or something?
