Playlists from imported CD's content cleared, cannot delete empty playlist

Kit: Latest 27" iMac full spec. iPhone 6+


1) Playlists that contain imported CD music have now been made "unavailable in the cloud". Fair enough. However the content is no longer in the playlist. I do not have iTunes Match, it's waste of time for me.


2) You cannot add to the now empty playlist.


3) If you create a new playlist you can add songs that originated on CD's


4) The empty playlist deletes. Fives seconds later it re-appears, still empty.


Question: How do I delete these empty playlists and why do they keep re-appearing?
