Every time I insert a disc my computer spits it back out?

After about 10 - 15 seconds of various noises from the laptop, it spits the disc right back out again? Anybody else have this problem?

Many of us have had that problem. While it's likely that your SuperDrive has failed there are a few things you can try.

1. Reset the SMC Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac - Apple Support

and PRAM How to Reset NVRAM on your Mac - Apple Support

2. Try a Cleaning Disc, you can usually get them at electronics stores.

If those don't help there's not much more you can do except to replace the drive with a new internal or better yet get a cheap external drive, but don't get Apple's USB Superdrive as it won't work with your computer.
