Access shared icloud photos without an invite

My uncle shared photos with me on icloud, but i didnt have the sharing setting turned on. I have just turned it on. Is there a way to access these photos without the invite?

His phone had to be reloaded so he doesn't have the photos anymore. Is there any way for him to access the photos he shared?

Please help! Thanks!

Welcome to the Apple Community.

If he logs into his account and enables shared albums they should repopulate his device, if he erased his phone it shouldn't have erased his shared albums in the cloud.

If the shared albums were made public you could access them without an invite, but you'd need to know the correct web address, it's not something you could guess.
