iCloud account has the wrong email address

iCloud account has the wrong email address in it, and isn't working for 'find a phone etc' This was an old email account but after setting it up I realised, my mother had no access to the email account,> I have been trying to change it for a while, and have also tried but been unable to verify it in Appleid, as it has never been a main account email.


The whole thing is just greyed out and only 'email' will function but that doesn't do anything.


The Apple id is fully functioning on the iPad for everything else.


Anyone got a clue ?
