photo's disappeared after drawing and dropping

When in Aperture ( 3.6) I am trying to drag and drop photos from one folder into another. I can select and drag into the folder but it does not appear and indeed it disappears and I don't know where to. Is this a conflict with the new photos app ?

Macbook pro, Mac OS X (10.6.6)

You cannot drag and drop images between folders in Aperture. Folders hold albums or projects, but not images. Drag images between the albums or projects inside the folders.

What are you trying to achieve?

Aperture and Photos should not interfere with each other.

Did you migrate your Aperture library to Photos?
