Hello all,

Yesterday July 27, 2015 I ran a software update on my Mac. About 6 months ago I upgraded from Mac OS X v10.6 (Snow Leopard) to Mac OS X v10.7 (Lion). when the update was done I had the white screen. I have the wireless keyboard and mouse. I do have a PC keyboard with usb that I can use if possible. Any and all help would be great.

Here is what I have tried but not sure the wireless Keyboard is working:

a. start mac holding shift key

b. start mac holding shift, command, and v key

Hi bobj6744,

If your iMac is starting up with a gray screen, take a look at the article below to troubleshoot the issue. If you want to use a wired mouse and keyboard to make sure the issue is not with your wireless devices, that would be fine. Disconnect any other peripherals (external hard drives, printers, etc.) you may have attached.
