Safari Window

I have a couple of issues with Safari. I don't know how or what I did. The window to enter an address of a website has disappeared and I have to close the window and reopen it to get a fresh window to enter a new website address. My other issue is that the forward and backward arrows have disappeared. In other words I don't have the arrows to go to the previous page.
