Just yesterday my 4s decided not to orient when I turn it side ways while viewing videos, texts, pictures.like it had been doing up until yesterday. Is there a Setting that was 'bumped'? I powered down the phone twice to see if that would fix the problem.

Check the upper right area of your screen. Do you see a symbol that look like a small lock with a circular arrow around it? If that symbol is there then orientation lock is turned on. Easiest way to turn it off is to slide your finger up from the bottom of the screen to reveal the Control Center. Look for that same symbol and tap it to turn off Orientation Lock.
