I have tried to eject a cd from my disc player and it tries to eject it but it won't eject. What do I do? I have tried unplugging it, restarting my computer nothing is working it is as though it is stuck.
Enter the following command into the Terminal application followed by the Return or Enter key:
drutil tray eject
You may have to do it several times.
Thank you for getting back to me my disc player is trying to eject the cd but it won't eject it seems to be stuck in the player
Get some paper stock like a 3 x 5 card, slip it into the slot and try to get it just below the edge of the disk. Then try the Terminal command again. That might let the disk to get up over whoever edge may be keeping it in.
Hi, thanks for your suggestion I tried that too but I finally just turned the disc player upside down and pushed eject and voila it came out.
I have a disc in my apple disc player that won't eject
