Jul 28, 2015 11:54 AM in response to MuddyToddby Ethan7988,Then I suggest backing up your iPad and erasing it. After that, restore it from backup. If that doesn't work, set it up as new. If that doesn't work, chances are you may have some sort of a hardware problem.

After changing passwords,
Okay, this is likely the issue.
Settings > Mail , Contacts, Calendars.Select the account.
Tap Outgoing Mail server > SMTP > Primary server.
Make sure you have the correct Username & password.

If that's what you mean by reboot then hold down the home and power buttons until you see the Apple logo), that is what I suggest.

and did you add/verify the outgoing mail server username and password?

Jul 28, 2015 12:40 PM in response to Chris CAby MuddyTodd,Yes, the incoming and outgoing servers and accounts verify with no issues on ipad and iphone. I can send emails from my provider email app on both the ipad and iphone without any issues.

Jul 29, 2015 6:21 PM in response to MuddyToddby thewretch,i'm having the same problem. It started yesterday. I can receive mail but can't send anything from both my iPhone and my desktop Mac. I didn't touch any settings at all. Webmail portals work fine it just seems to be on the devices.
