Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
My iPad will not charge while it is turned on. When I turn off my iPad while its plugged in, it turns back on by itself.
I've tried the force restart and almost all of the fixes out there.
And yes, the wire works fine on my iPhone and iPod.
This is a brand new iPad with no damage at all done to it.
iPad Air, iOS 8.4
Take it back to wherever you got it. If it is brand new, it is in warranty.

What do you think the issue is?
I would be guessing...hence my earlier suggestion. IMHO, the device needs to be tested by people who have the appropriate equipment.
