I Have an Emerson TV lc401em2f which is lcd 1080p hdtv. When I hook it up nothing comes up, I tried on a different TV and works perfect. I called Emerson support and they said my TV will not supported by Apple TV. I don't understand why, it has all the requirements. Can I get around this?where is the list of supported tv? Can I hook up thru dish receiver?
You would need to contact Emerson. No, you can not pass through dish receiver, it needs to be direct from TV to Apple TV. Any reason you can't use the other TV that was working?

There is no list. It is not tied to brand. If it has HDMI that supports HDCP then it should be fine.
