Thanks Eric,

Two actions taken:

1. Safari Reset Options on all location warnings, all website notifications warning, remove all website data, clear Downloads window

Closed all Safari windows. This kept my passwords and login information and resulted in Safari's Memory to less than 200MB.

Previously added Develop Tab to Safari and Empty Cache of 1766 items taking up 105MB didn't show any improvement.

2. Disk Utility: Repair Disk Permissions report was 108 pages! 2nd Repair report was 21 pages of "ACL found but not expected on xxx"; 3rd Repair was the same 21 pages of ACL.

Previously from Recovery HD disk, ran Disk Utility, First Aid tab, Repair Disk button.

Looking back at my EtreCheck report I was surprised my 4GB memory is "upgradable" so I found 8GB upgrade on OWC http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Other%20World%20Computing/8566DDR3S8GP/

which should speed up all Apps.

If you are having issues with a process you may want to investigate it before you kill it…

It looks like an uninstaller for Elmedia player?

I would attempt to remove both or at least look for updates. Elmedia has a kernel extension installed - those can alter how the entire OS works. It seems a little drastic for a media player.

I would also track down the other two kernel extensions to see if they are current & supported on 10.9. It can't hurt to check for compatibility & updates for the other launchd jobs too.
