deauthorizing

deauthorizing

I was sharing my apple ID with someone and now that we are no longer speaking I don't want them to have it. I deauthorized them from my apple ID. Does it kick them off immediately? or how long does it take? Thanks

No. The other person needs to log off first.

Hes my ex and I don't think he will log off if I asked. If I change my Apple Id password will it keep him off of it?

No. Once he's in, he is in.

If you set up Find My iPhone on the device, you can erase it.
