Error 1301 on Adobe Reader 11.0.12 update installation on iMac

Error 1301 always shows whenever my Imac tries to install Adobe Reader 11.0.12 update. Warning window says: The update could not be applied because the Adobe Reader applications contents were modified since the original installation. Please reinstall Adobe Reader and check for updates again.

How do I go about the update installation? I have never done anything to modify the application since I bought my iMac except for the regular updates that come up.

iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10.4)
